The St. Joseph Early Childhood Program at Saints JFX is designed to expand children’s hearts and minds with an unparalleled first academic experience. Love and attention is directed to the development of programs on the St. Joseph Campus where all facilities, equipment and training is focused to meet the unique needs of Preschool students. Our seasoned team provides for the educational, emotional and moral development of students through thoughtful, creative teaching strategies and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. The Early Childhood staff makes learning fun through games, music, friendship, activities, outdoor play and creative events. Technology is used sparingly in the classroom in order to prioritize personal connection, movement and collaborative play.
Our seasoned team provides for the educational, emotional and moral development of students through thoughtful, creative teaching strategies and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Together, we create a safe and welcoming learning environment and work in conjunction with parents through open and frequent communication. Classrooms are staffed by a lead teacher supported by an assistant teacher to ensure low teacher:student ratios. Additional support staff includes a part time Occupational Therapist, part time Learning Behavior Specialist, and a full time Nurse who partner with teachers and families as needed to yield successful development outcomes. Each homeroom communicates with parents through a private Seesaw account to provide weekly overviews and updates of classroom activities paired with fun photographs of students engaged in learning and play. St. Joseph facilities include an Early Childhood-oriented gym, two outdoor playgrounds, an indoor maker space, an indoor play space, and a school library to provide creative and large-motor growth opportunities.
Our team is dedicated to the development of the "Whole Child" through hands-on learning and exploration, developmentally appropriate religious lessons and services, “specials” classes including Spanish, Music, Yoga and Storytime/Library, and guidance from our Early Support Team. Homeroom and specials teachers collaborate to meet the educational, emotional and moral development of students through thoughtful, creative teaching strategies and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Classroom activities are differentiated to the needs of each individual child based on their unique developmental levels and abilities. Little ones emerge from the St. Joseph Early Childhood Program as joyful, curious, and faith-filled learners equipped with the tools and confidence to excel in Kindergarten and beyond. |
